Blessings

She runs downstairs,
In her blue and red Spider-man pyjamas
Gleeful, happy, enraptured.

Shoves little socked feet into little winter boots
Opens wide the front door
In one grand movement.

At last! Finally! It’s come!

Cold wind gusts inside the open front doorway.
From my room, I hear sounds of scraping, shoveling
Then squeals of delight.
"Dad!" "It snowed! It snowed! It snowed"

Tears come to my eyes and thanksgiving.
Blessings

Hi Carol Anne,

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Can I play in the snow too? And make angels?

Carol:
This is a Kodak moment. I think this is why we have children – for moments like these.

Hey, you got more than we did! Can we come play at your house?

We might just get distracted at reading night and have to go out and make snow forts. ;-)

Thanks for linking to me, btw; I've finally returned the favour over on ME2.

Thank you for sharing this. I loved the reminder to see the little blessings in our everyday lives. So often I think there will be The Big Moment when I will notice and appreciate everything in my life. And yet, the most appreciable moments come unannounced, clad in their spiderman pajamas...
