Poetry Thursday January 25

I see Christ in an hourglass
And in a large, pink artificial flower

The shepherds have gone home
The angels are boxed up

But I still see colours in the night
Hands cupped over eyes
Pinpoints of light come and go

The crab walks sideways
And I allow myself
To find new direction
From forgotten joys.

After the season has passed, still in remembrance. I like your words. :)

I especially liked this bit:

The shepherds have gone home
The angels are boxed up
But I still see colours in the night

Thanks for the comments! A bit of Xmas nostalgia happening now that the excitement is over.
